11 April 2007 The new Lexus LS460 has been named World Car of the Year at the New York Motor Show. The executive saloon was described by the judges as ‘classically luxurious, with modern execution, unquestioned quality and more than ample power.’ Bob Carter, Lexus group vice president, said: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award recognising the LS460.” Launched in January, the LS460 was chosen from an initial entry list of 28 contenders with the Audi TT and Mini making up the top three.
