This is the Heffner Lamborghini Gallardo, a 930bhp ultra-modified version of the Italian supercar.

American outfit Heffner has built the ultimate playboy’s car by fitting two huge turbochargers to the already powerful Lamborghini Gallardo.

Heffner has completely rebuilt the Gallardo’s engine and the turbochargers have increased power from 520bhp to 930bhp – making it one of the world’s most powerful cars.

Performance figures for the Heffner Gallardo haven’t been released, but in standard form the Gallardo will accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in 3.9 seconds and keep going all the way to 197mph.

With the power increase coming from the turbo boost, we’d anticipate the 0-62mph time to remain roughly the same, but with a top speed in excess of 220mph.

Heffner has also made a few aerodynamic adjustments to the Gallardo including fitting a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera-style spoiler to increase downforce and help give the supercar a more planted feel.

Florida-based tuning house Heffner is renowned stateside for its radical turbocharged cars packages, having increased power in a Dodge Viper to an amazing 1,900bhp – nearly twice the amount of a Bugatti Veyron.

Prices for the Lambo power upgrade haven’t been released as yet, but Heffner’s 850bhp Gallardo Spyder cost $55,000 (£28,000) so we reckon you’ll be paying about £38,000 for the 930bhp model.

The Lamborghini Gallardo is the Italian car maker’s most successful ever model, helping to spearhead the company to record sales last year of nearly 2,500 units.

And sitting in the Gallardo range is the recently launched flagship LP560-4, which is capable of 202mph.
