A Lamborghini Murcielago gave Park Lane commuters a nightmare last night after being involved in an incident.

These photos show the £220,000 supercar ground to a halt in the posh part of London with the front right alloy ripped from the body.

The bonnet, front bumper and passenger’s door of the left-hand drive Lambo are also seriously damaged with the passenger’s airbag activated.

No one was injured in the Monaco-registered car.

We’re unsure what happened for the wheel to come off the Murcielago, but it is the latest Lambo to be seriously damaged this year.

Earlier this month a groom was driving a Murcielago LP640 Roadster to his wedding when the back end came out on a roundabout and the car flipped 360 degrees through the air.

Fortunately David Gallucci and his best man Warwick French were unhurt with the groom travelling to the wedding in a friend’s car before tying the knot with bride Abi Pattison-Hart.

But a far more serious incident involving a Lamborghini too place in Switzerland on Thursday last week.

The Murcielago – which is thought to have been driven by a 22-year-old Russian – was in convoy with a Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes McLaren SLR and Porsche Cayenne Turbo along Lake Geneva.

It was involved in a collision with a VW Golf, seriously injuring the Volkswagen’s 70-year-old driver.

The reported events have led Dmitry Rogozin, Moscow's ambassador to NATO to say "the first generation of 'new Russians' are behaving like complete prats".

In April FIVE Murcielagos went to supercar heaven including two in Russia.
