Built by German tuners, Arden, the XKR AJ20 purrs from 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds. The supercharged V8 engine has been increased in size from the standard 4.2 litres to 4.5 litres. Power rises from 420bhp to 480bhp, while pulling power is a massive 472lb/ft. The engine size increase is accomplished by replacing many of its internal components with new specially produced parts. Arden recently tested the top speed of the XKR AJ20 on a banked oval track and found that it could reach 189mph – a massive 34mph more than the standard car. Body modifications are extensive and give the Arden XKR AJ120 a distinct new look, while remaining subtle. The 21-inch wheels and low profile tyres fill the wheelarches to perfection. The new front bumper, side skirts and spoiler are not just for looks. They reduce the drag created as the car moves through the air and also improve downforce at high speeds, making the car more efficient and stable. Sports suspension gives the car a ground hugging stance. Arden is taking orders for the XKR AJ20 now at 160, 650 Euros (£111,500). Arden was founded in 1972 by Jochen Arden, to further his passion for British cars. Since this time it has produced many Land Rover, and Jaguar tuning packages. Last year we reported on the sale of football star Michael Owen’s previous generation racing green Jaguar XKR 460 Typhoon. Read the full story. Click here for more pictures of the Arden XKR AJ20
