Jaguar joins the space race
15 August 2003 Full details will be revealed on the new car's debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, September 9-23. We expect it to cost around £1000 more than the saloon, starting at £20,995 for an entry-level 2.0-litre diesel. Insiders say its square-shaped luggage area has more luggage space than its prestige German rivals. With the back seats folded flat, the maximum usable volume will be around 1400 litres. Every model will feature a tailgate with a separately opening rear window so items can be dropped easily into the boot. The existing 2.5- and 3.0-litre V6 petrol engines from the saloon will be available from launch as well as the 2.0-litre diesel, another Jaguar first which arrived only this year. |
