New face for Jag S-type
05 January 2004 Changes include a raised rear wing, a wider front grille and new-look front and rear bumpers. An aluminium bonnet replaces the previous steel item to help keep weight down. Inside, the instrument panel has been redesigned, with round chronograph dials, the option of an aluminium finish and the choice of new interior colours. S-type buyers can now specify sports suspension, which has uprated springs and dampers that Jaguar claims improves the handling. An electronic parking brake is now standard across the range. The engine line-up remains the same, with a choice of 2.5, 3.0 and 4.2-litre petrol units. An all-new 2.7-litre V6 diesel is expected to join the range in June. Prices for the revised S-type have yet to be announced. |
