Jaguar recalls X-type models
02 August 2005 The manufacturer has found there may be too little clearance between the positive battery cable and the fuel injector on one of the car's cylinders. The cable can chafe on the injector and could cause a short circuit. Recalled vehicles will have the cable inspected and replaced as required. They will be rerouted and secured by a new design of clip. In all, 14,328 cars built between August 2003 and August 2004 are affected. Vehicle identification numbers range from SAJEA51C84WD55322 to SAJAH55T556E33691. Contact your local dealer if you think you may be affected. |
