Jaguar prices diesel models
17 June 2005 The X-type will be offered with a four-cylinder 153bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine as well as the existing 128bhp 2.0-litre unit, while XJ buyers get the option of a diesel for the first time: a 205bhp 2.7-litre V6 diesel unit. X-type saloons powered by the new engine will cost from £22,995 to £28,995. Add another £1170 for the estates. At the same time, Jaguar is cutting the cost of 2.0-litre diesel models by £1000. The diesel range now starts at £19,995 for the saloon and £21,165 for the estate. The XJ diesel will be priced from £43,995 to £49,995. It arrives at the same time as a package of improvements to all XJ models. There will be more sound-deadening between the engine bay and passenger cell, minor styling changes and a bit more equipment. |
