Forget fast cop cars to catch speeding villains - this is the three-wheeler British bobbies could be using to patrol the streets.

The T3 personal mobility vehicle has a top speed of 25mph, a range of more than 20 miles and costs just 20 pence a day to run.

It was just one of the hints to the future of policing at a conference in Manchester yesterday.

But it's not all slow and small – Greater Manchester Police have been loaned a giant Hummer H2 kitted out with sirens, stripes and spotlights.
