Ford has announced official tuning packages for the Fiesta ST, increasing power without affecting the warranty.

While the Ford Fiesta ST’s 150bhp engine may make it a pocket rocket, the official modification packages transform it into a pocket missile capable of 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds and 130mph flat out.

Two engine packages are available, developed by specialists Mountune Racing.

The stage one kit consists of a high-flow air induction system, a high performance sports exhaust and a recalibration of the ST’s engine management system.

As well as a rorty engine sound, customers can expect 165bhp from this package, which retails at £1,435 plus fitting.

The full Mountune package adds new camshafts and valve springs to the roster, and costs £1,838 plus fitting.

The sports camshafts allow the engine to produce more power high in the rev-range and give the Fiesta ST its 185bhp top output.

In addition, new suspension is available from suspension experts KW, lowering the car by 35mm for £605 plus fitting.

It has been optimised by KW and Ford Team RS at the infamous Nurburgring test track to provide pin sharp handling.

Last but not least, leather Recaro seats finished in black leather and suede will grip you in place for £1,950.69 plus fitting.

Upgrades have a dealer warranty of between one and three years and importantly they do not affect the vehicle warranty.

Selected Ford dealers will be able to retrofit the tuning packages to any Fiesta ST, when they go on sale in March.
