27 December 2007 Click here for more pictures of the G-Power BMW M5 ‘Hurricane’ German tuners have unleashed this Bavarian beast onto the roads – the 730bhp BMW M5 ‘Hurricane’. Tuner G-Power has taken a standard BMW M5 – which produces 507bhp out of the box – and strapped two turbochargers onto the German motor’s massive 5-litre V10 engine, to produce 730bhp. And the mega-M5 was clocked testing on the Nardo test track in With news of the new Audi RS6’s 580bhp V10, BMW’s M5 has been left wanting for power. Although the German manufacturer has not unveiled any details of an engine upgrade, G-Power has proven the M5’s mighty V10 has acres of power left in it. But this is not the first BMW G-Power has modified – the crazy German tuner shoehorned the M5’s 5-litre V10 engine into the M3 CSL, which resulted in 550bhp and a 0-62mph time of just 4.2 seconds. G-Power has not released the full spec of its tuning package for the BMW M5 ‘Hurricane’, but is expected to announce the details by the end of the month. And if rumours are believed, the tuner is not satisfied with the 730bhp output of the current BMW M5 ‘Hurricane’, and engineers are reportedly working on a version which will produce more than 800bhp.
