Shanghai show: BMW concept
20 April 2007 BMW has unveiled a new sports saloon at the Shanghai Motor Show in China. Sporting the latest evolution of the controversial Chris Bangle styling direction, the CS' shark-nosed front is reminiscent of the 1950s BMW 507 and more recent Z8 roadster. Rumours suggest the CS will use a V12 engine producing 700bhp, giving the 5.1-metre motor a sub-five second 0-60mph time and a top speed in excess of 180mph. On the outside, the CS boasts 21-inch alloys with the traditional kidney grille positioned to cool to the M-powered V12 engine.
