Japanese tuners have modified the £110,000 Bentley Continental GT to produce an 800bhp modified monster – the Tetsu GTR.

Japanese tuning company ASI has taken a standard Bentley Continental GT – which already produces 552bhp and 479lb/ft of pulling power – and modified the Conti GT’s massive 6-litre W12 engine to produce 800bhp.

ASI hasn’t released any performance times for the Bentley Continental GT-based Tetsu GTR, but expect a 0-62mph time of around four seconds and a top speed of more than 200mph.

The Japanese tuners have also modified the Bentley Continental GT’s bodywork and paint scheme to match the outrageous power.

The Tetsu GTR features a wider bodykit, a ‘dry carbon’ bonnet, bootlid and rear spoiler and enormous wheels.

To match the go, ASI has enlisted the help of Japanese artist Nakamura Tetsuei who hand-painted the lairy flower colour scheme onto the big Bentley.

The standard Bentley Continental GT – which is built by German giant Volkswagen – was once described by Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson as “an awesome driver’s car, but deep down you sense the soul of a Volkswagen”, and costs £110,000 new.

But this ASI-tuned Tetsu GTR version of the Bentley Continental GT will cost buyers £409,000. The Japanese tuners have announced a limited production of just 29 Tetsu GTR’s, and each customer can specify different options for their individual cars.
