A top of the range BMW X5 previously owned by seven-time world champion snooker player Stephen Hendry is for sale on Auto Trader.

Stephen Hendry – nicknamed ‘The Golden Boy’ – was the first owner of this V8-powered 2005 BMW X5.

Hendry began playing professional snooker aged just 12, and began his assault on the snooker world standings in the 1989/1990 season, winning the UK Championship, Dubai Classic, Asian Open, Scottish Masters, Wembley Masters and his first World Championship.

The former world number 1 went on to notch up 65 professional titles – placing him in the pantheon of snooker’s all-time legends.

Stephen Hendry’s old BMW X5 is powered by a 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine, and is widely considered to be the ‘M’-spec BMW X5.

The V8 sitting under the sculpted bonnet produces a titanic 355bhp – the same as the previous generation BMW M3 CSL – which propels the four-wheel-drive X5 from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 152mph.

Hendry has kitted his old X5 with a rear entertainment package, satellite navigation and a TV up front.

But this isn’t the first celebrity-owned BMW X5 we’ve had for sale on the site – a 4.8-litre X5 previously owned by Liverpool star Steven Gerrard was for sale on the site.

Now you can own a BMW X5 previously owned by one of the world’s most successful snooker players – which has covered 52,000 miles and comes with a full BMW service history – for just £16,995.
