Hummer with wagon wheels snapped in London
|
16 October 2008 Footballers and hip-hop stars are famous for blinging up their Hummers, but we doubt Beckham and Fiddy would have fitted a set of wagon wheels to their American 4x4. This is exactly what artist Matthew Harrison has done with a Hummer H3. More Hummer with wagon wheel photos Like any good piece of art, ‘Hummer’ is bound to polarize opinion – and the Auto Trader office certainly has mixed views on the four-wooden-wheel drive American car with some loving it and others not quite understand it. The Hummer H3 is the entry-level off-roader from the American car maker and is based on military vehicle, the Humvee. But ‘Hummer’ is more likely to come under fire from critics than insurgents as it’s going to be on display at the fifth Zoo Art Fair which will be held from October 17 – 20 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Central London. Ultimate Rolls-Royce photographed The standard Hummer H3 is fitted with a set of 16-inch alloy wheels which drive the 243bhp and 240lb/ft of pulling power developed by the 3.7-litre petrol engine. Available in SE, Adventure and Luxury trim, standard features on all Hummer H3s include air-conditioning, electric windows, remote central locking and cruise control. Upgrade to Adventure and you get heated leather seats, off-road suspension, locking rear differential and a chrome appearance package while Luxury gains 17-inch chrome wheels, eight-way power adjustable heated seats and a seven-speaker sound system. However, the downside is 20.4mpg and 327g/km of carbon dioxide emissions, meaning an annual road tax bill of £400. Prices for the Hummer H3 start from £26,495.
