TV star Jeremy Clarkson should be Prime Minister with Richard Hammond, James May and The Stig in the cabinet.

So say more than 70,000 fans who’ve joined the ‘Jeremy Clarkson should be Prime Minister’ forum on internet phenomenon Facebook.

According to the group, “Clarkson is as close to a God that any mere mortal will get. His straight forward no-nonsense attitude would make our country great once more.”

The cabinet sees James May as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Richard Hammond as Foreign Secretary and The Stig as Minister for Transport.

Other cabinet members include Hugh Grant (Deputy PM) and Peter Kay (Culture Secretary).

But they’re not the only ones hoping to see Clarkson at number 10.

Another petition on the 10 Downing Street website has attracted 4,000 followers too.
