HEWDEN GEARS UP FOR NEXT USED EQUIPMENT AUCTION

Hewden, the UK’s number one equipment rental provider, has announced today that it is set to stage its third annual equipment auction on Saturday, 14th July at the Hertfordshire Show Ground.

Attracting international buyers from India, Australia, the Middle East and many countries through Europe, the 2007 Hewden Auction is Europe’s largest disposal of construction equipment, vehicles, cranes and associated items.

Auction organiser, John Holland FRICS, FAAV of Thimbleby & Shorland said, “Customers are able to buy second hand equipment with the confidence of knowing it has come from a credible source, and more importantly, that it has been well maintained and regularly serviced.”

As seen in previous years, the auction covers machinery ranging from power tools, to mini excavators and telehandlers, as well as heavy equipment, including loaders, dump trucks and cranes.

General Manager of Product and Pricing at Hewden, Alan Huddart, said, “We have conducted successful auctions in the past and this year looks set to be just as popular.  With both domestic and international buyers showing considerable interest, it shows that the second hand equipment market is still thriving.”

“These auctions provide a perfect platform for us to sell on our quality used equipment.  We continuously invest in our fleet, reducing the average age profile of equipment, and this year we are investing £80 million in new equipment,” continues Huddart.

Buyers are invited to register on line at The 2007 Hewden Auction website, http://www.thehewdenauction.com/. Once registered, buyers will be contacted via email, with updates on new items coming into the sale.
