23 March 2007 Auto Trader is combating canvassers with a unique number-blocking initiative. Telesafe was launched in February and has already blocked 200 known canvassers. The new service – A WORLD FIRST - is free for sellers, who only need to tick a box when placing an advert. Since its launch more than 14,000 customers have opted for the service, which has so far seen 7,500 calls blocked from over 200 known canvassing numbers. And sellers can turn the Telesafe number off when their car has sold – preventing any further calls. Phil Smith, from Dartford, was delighted with the service. He said: “I’m over the moon. I’ve had no canvassers call and I’ve just sold the car. “It was simple to do and I did it all online.” For more information about advertising your car on Auto Trader click here. Auto Trader Links: |
