The first pictures of George Michael’s damaged Range Rover have emerged following his car crash last week.

These pics show his ‘56’ plate Land Rover Range Rover having suffered serious passenger damage with one of the alloys detached from the car.

Michael, who had just completed a two-year driving ban, was arrested after his 4x4 hit an articulated lorry on the A34 in Berkshire at around 1am on Friday morning.

The former Wham! star was questioned by police on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs later that morning.

He was released without charge.

In a statement Michael said: "Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober.

"We both think the other is to blame so this is just an insurance fight.

"I don't want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again."

Michael later spoke out after the lorry driver, Laurie Rowe, told the Daily Mail: "He seemed completely disorientated, like he had no idea what was going on.

"He looked totally dazed and even tried to climb into the cab of my lorry. He kept saying he was worried he would go to jail."

Mr Rowe, from Scotland, told the newspaper he saw the silver 4x4 weaving from one side of the road to the other in his rear view mirror seconds before the crash, and claimed the impact was so great it knocked his rear axle 2ft up in the air.

"When I stopped the lorry and got out to see what had happened, I didn't think he would have survived," he added.

George Michael had recently celebrated getting his driving licence back by splashing out on a Ferrari California and was the second celebrity in a week to be involved in a collision following Richard Hammond’s supercar shunt.
