Here’s proof Hamsters can fly.
Top Gear’s resident ‘Hamster’ Richard Hammond was snapped behind the controls of a helicopter.
The Sun reported that the pint-sized presenter wanted to fly to and from his £2 million Hertfordshire home in a bid to beat the traffic blues.
And in true Top Gear style, Richard Hammond turned up in his beloved Morgan Roadster – a 220bhp lightweight road rocket with 1940s styling and a 0-62mph time of 4.9 seconds.
Hammond clearly hasn’t been put off flying. Earlier this year along with Jeremy Clarkson, he faced a nightmare helicopter ride 400ft above Auckland harbour in New Zealand after a seagull crashed into the chopper’s rotor blades.
The pilot had to make an emergency landing in order to save the Top Gear duo, who, along with James May, made their triumphant return to BBC 2 two weeks ago with series 13 of Top Gear.
