Top Gear stars on show at Legoland

The Top Gear team are now appearing at Legoland.
Jeremy Clarkson, James May, The Stig and a life-size Richard Hammond are stood around a Caterham R500 at the Windsor amusement park.
Okay, so Hammond’s model isn’t really life-size, it’s much bigger…
Lego decided to use the Caterham for its Top Gear feature after the £38,000 sports car stormed the famous show’s track in a blistering 1 minute 17.9 seconds – quicker than the £1 million Bugatti Veyron and fifth overall.

Legoland’s chief model maker, Guy Bagley, said: “My colleague remembered that the Stig had put the R500 through its paces and how incredible it was on the track.
“It’s such a timeless and iconic car that it was a ‘no-brainer’ as our choice for the motorsport area, having already decided to feature Top Gear.
“Its design lends itself particularly well to our bricks, too.”
Rumours those offended by Jeremy Clarkson’s comments in the past will be descending en mass to Windsor to destroy his model have been strenuously denied by a made-up source.
