Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has been spotted with a flash super-quick Porsche Cayenne.

Ferdinand’s Cayenne 4x4 has undergone a conversion by German tuning house Techart which specialises in upgrading Porsches.

Re-named the Techart Magnum, Ferdinand’s motor has undergone a host of cosmetic adjustments to make the sports SUV appear more aggressive, getting a new bodykit and 22-inch alloy wheels.

Techart also undertake extensive work on the Cayenne’s engine, brakes, suspension and exhaust system.

While full details of the full conversion are unknown, Ferdinand’s 4.8-litre turbocharged engine is likely to have had power increased from 493bhp to 620bhp.

This should enable the Magnum to accelerate from 0-62mph in around 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 180mph.

There is no news on how much the car cost Rio but a fully-loaded Techart Magnum with all the bells and whistles will cost comfortably in excess of £100,000.

Rio Ferdinand is one of football’s best defenders and has forged arguably the world’s best centre back partnership with Serbian star Nemanja Vidic, helping Manchester United to the top of the Premiership table.

On top of his new 4x4, Ferdinand has owned a wealth of interesting motors including two Aston Martin Vanquishs, a Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Arnage and a Ford F150 pick-up truck.

The England central defender was photographed in the trendy town of Alderley Edge in Cheshire where footballers and celebrities are often spotted in their supercars.

A couple of weeks ago Auto Trader published photos of the world’s best footballer Cristiano Ronaldo walking out to his Bentley Continental GT Speed to find a parking ticket on the windscreen.

Ronaldo was driving the Bentley after his brand-new Ferrari 599 had been seriously damaged in an accident in a Manchester tunnel.
