A Lamborghini Murcielago previously owned by former Manchester United hero Dwight Yorke is for sale on Auto Trader.

Trinidad and Tobago legend Dwight Yorke was the first of two owners of the Italian supercar which he bought in 2003.

The 38 year-old, who has just retired from football, made his name with Aston Villa in the 1990s before moving to Sir Alex Ferguson’s all-conquering Man United in 1998 for £12.8 million.

He stayed with the Old Trafford outfit for four years, scoring 64 times in 151 appearances – helping United to the treble in 1999 when they picked up the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, famously beating Bayern Munich 2-1 in the final.

Yorke was the proud owner of this black Lamborghini Murcielago VT – a supercar built between 2002 and 2006.

With a 6.2-litre V12 engine developing 580bhp and 479lb/ft of pulling power, the Murcie isn’t exactly short of grunt.

The four-wheel drive setup helps accelerate the Lambo from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds before topping out at 205mph.

The Lambo, which has just 13,000 miles on the clock, has a full Lamborghini service history and can be yours for £94,995 – £75k less than its new price in 2003.

Dwight Yorke is the third former Man United player to have their Lamborghini Murcielago VT for sale on Auto Trader.

In July 2007, a black E-Gear model belonging to former United youth player and everyone’s favourite panto villain Robbie Savage came up for grabs.

And last year a 2004 model specced for David Beckham came onto the market. The England legend (pictured with Yorke) didn’t take delivery of the supercar with his move for Manchester United to Real Madrid prompting Becks to cancel the order.
