Is Jeremy Clarkson better looking than the likes of Jamie Redknapp, Russell Brand and Enrique Iglesias? Heat readers think so.

Because the Top Gear hunk* has been named the world’s 87th sexiest man in the first annual readers’ poll.

The 46-year-old father-of-three beat more traditional lookers like Sky Sports pundit Redknapp (92) and pop star Enrique Iglesias (90).

Even serial womaniser Russell Brand, famed for his hair, humour and whimsical charm only charted at 94.

He also beat Piers Brosnan and Barack Obama. Yep, the denim-clad curly haired giant beat James Bond and the world’s most powerful man.

And Jezza wasn’t the only Top Gear host to make the list with James May coming in at 97. There was no room in the list for housewives’ favourite Richard Hammond which should make for interesting banter on this Sunday’s show.

The world’s sexiest man of 2009 is some bloke called Robert Pattinson. He was in Twilight or something.
