Frank Lampard’s Mercedes SL500 for sale
15 July 2009
by Adrian Hearn
A Mercedes SL500 previously owned by Chelsea and England star Frank Lampard is for sale on Auto Trader.
Frank Lampard is one of the Premier League’s best ever players thanks to his fantastic goal tally for both the Blues and Three Lions.
Along with Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and former Man United star Cristiano Ronaldo, Lampard regularly bangs in 20 goals a season despite playing in midfield.
The Blues vice-captain was the first owner of this black convertible which he bought new in April 2002.

Under the bonnet of the German motor is a 5-litre V8 engine which develops 306bhp and 339lb/ft of pulling power. This enables the Merc to accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in 6.3 seconds before reaching an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph.
Luxuries on the motor include sat-nav, leather seats, electric everything and uprated AMG alloy wheels.
Lampard held onto the Mercedes for just over a year-and-a-half before selling it in January 2004.
Since getting rid of the Merc, Lampard has had a range of flash cars including:
• Audi Q7
• Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
• Mercedes G Wagon
• Aston Martin DB9
The G Wagon and Aston Martin were stolen from his west London house in October 2005. The Aston was found 30 minutes later in Chelsea while the Merc was spotted in Battersea with his TV on the back seat.
In an interview with Top Gear in 2005, Lampard said the one car he’d like to drive before he dies is a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Now he earns in excess of £100,000-a-week he’s in the position to make his dream a reality.
Now you can get your hands on Lampard’s old Mercedes, which covered 46,100 miles and has a full service history for £22,000.
