Buy the Lamborghini ‘built for David Beckham’
21 May 2008 A Lamborghini Murcielago VT Coupe built for footballing superstar David Beckham is for sale on Auto Trader. Former England captain David Beckham ordered the Lamborghini Murcielago VT Coupe in 2003 before his move from Manchester United to Real Madrid. As a result of the move David Beckham – who is now starring for US Major League side Los Angeles Galaxy – opted against taking delivery of the stunning Italian supercar. This Lamborghini Murcielago – which was registered in 2004 – is powered by a 6.2-litre V12 producing a mammoth 580bhp and 479lb/ft of pulling power channelled to all four wheels. View our slide show of the Lamborghini The result is 0-62mph (100kph) in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 205mph – and 13.1mpg.
We’re sure David Beckham was disappointed he didn’t get the chance to drive the Murcielago – which has Lamborghini’s semi-automatic E-Gear transmission – but he isn’t short of prestige cars. In Beckham’s stable are a host of supercars and luxury motors while the multi-millionaire also has a penchant for American SUVs. Auto Trader has even had a host of his old cars for sale in the past including a Mercedes S Class, GMC Yukon Denali SUV and Ford F150 pick-up. So if you want to get your hands on an awesome Italian hypercar which was specced out by a national hero, you can buy this Lambo – which recently had a £7,000 service and has covered just 10,800 miles – for £129,945.
