A 205mph derestricted BMW M5 belonging to boxing phenomenon Joe Calzaghe is for sale on Auto Trader.
Undefeated super middleweight and light heavyweight boxer Joe Calzaghe is the only owner of this 2007 BMW M5 which has just 2,500 miles on the clock.
And it’s not the first time Auto Trader has had one of Joe Calzaghe's cars for sale. In the past 18 months we’ve featured his BMW M3, Mercedes SL350 and Land Rover Discovery.
Welshman Joe Calzaghe can arguably be hailed at Britain’s best ever boxer after a career which has seen him win all 46 of his bouts including the recent fight against Roy Jones JNR where he threw more than 1,000 punches over 12 rounds.
His success culminated in him being named 2007 BBC Sports Personality of the Year while his win against Jones JNR earned him a $10 million pay check.
Joe’s BMW M5 is powered by a 5-litre V10 engine which develops 507bhp and 384lb/ft of pulling power.
Normally this would result in the BMW M5 rocketing from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
But Calzaghe has had the limiter removed – enabling the German super-saloon to crack the 200mph barrier, running out of steam at an obscene 205mph and giving it genuine supercar credentials.
But while supercars are limited on luxuries, the BMW M5 can seat five, has all-round electrics, six airbags, sat-nav, air-conditioning and a head-up display which tells you how fast you’re going.
While Joe is selling his M5, he’s not short on transport – also owning an Audi RS4 and Range Rover Sport.
