An Aston Martin Vanquish S previously owned by Man United and England star Wayne Rooney is for sale on Auto Trader.

Wayne Rooney was the first owner of the 2006 British supercar, which has covered just 5,900 miles.

And you’ll get the £10,000+ registration plate WAZ8 – after Rooney’s nickname Wazza – as part of the deal.

The Scouse superstar is famed for his love of sexy cars, owning the best collection in the Premiership and having previously counted a Lamborghini Gallardo, Bentley Continental GT and Range Rover Sport among his motors.

But it’s been reported recently £100,000 a week striker Rooney, 22, has been struggling to get his hands on a rare Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster with red leather seats.

Rooney was given the Aston Martin Vanquish S 2+2 by fiancée Coleen McLoughlin as a good luck gift before the 2006 World Cup.

Created by design genius Ian Callum – who’s also behind the Aston Martin DBS and Jaguar XK – the Aston Martin Vanquish was the Gaydon-based car maker’s flagship model until production ended last year.

Powered by a 6-litre V12 engine, the Aston Martin Vanquish S produces a seismic 520bhp and 325lb/ft of pulling power, which accelerates the British beauty from 0-62mph (100kph) in 4.6 seconds before running out of steam at 200mph.

Inside, Rooney’s old Aston has sculpted leather seats, sat-nav, 700 watt sound system, air-conditioning, all-round electrics and rolls on 19-inch alloy wheels – which house mammoth 378mm disc brakes at the front.

The current keeper won the Aston Martin Vanquish in a February 2008 competition run by drinks giant Coca Cola – one of Rooney’s sponsors.

It’s not the first car previously owned by Wayne Rooney to appear on Auto Trader.

Last year we revealed his old Mini GP was also for sale. But while the 150mph Mini was on the market for £21,000, you’ll need to fork out £150,000 for his old Aston which was recently serviced.
