Champion boxer Joe Calzaghe is selling his luxury Mercedes SL350 – and offering the buyer two tickets to his next fight.

Auto Trader has a Mercedes-Benz SL350 convertible formerly owned by current WBO Super Middleweight champion and ‘The Pride of Wales’, Joe Calzaghe.

The Welsh boxing star is selling his drop-top Merc to concentrate on his forthcoming title bout against Mikkel Kessler at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, on November 3.

And the boxer is offering up two VIP tickets for the hotly anticipated bout to the lucky buyer of his old Mercedes.

Joe Calzaghe was the first and only owner of this 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL350 convertible.

Powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine delivering a 272bhp punch, the sexy SL shoots from 0-60mph in just 6.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph.

And to make sure the horsepower is not wasted, Mercedes fitted the SL with a limited slip differential – which in difficult driving conditions transfers power to the wheel with the most grip.

Inside, the big Merc gets leather upholstery with lumbar support, cruise control and parking control.

Joe Calzaghe captured the WBO Super Middleweight title after he beat Chris Eubank in a unanimous points decision in 1997 – exactly ten years ago.

He has successfully defended his title 20 times – including the career-defining points win against hotly-tipped American Jeff Lacy in 2006.

And the upcoming fight in November against Mikkel Kessler is reputed to be the Welshman’s most difficult defence of his WBO title.
