18 September 2007 A Ferrari 246 Dino GTS previously owned by The Who’s lead singer is for sale on Auto Trader. Rock legend Roger Daltrey was the first owner of this rare 1973 Dino GTS. The drop-top Ferrari is powered by a 2.4-litre V6 engine producing 195bhp and generating a top speed of 146mph. This classic convertible is a rare sight on Daltrey is one of rock’s most charismatic front men and is noted for his athletic and aggressive stage persona. And he’s not the first member of The Who whose car has appeared on Auto Trader. Guitarist Pete Townshend’s Ferrari 550 Maranello was for sale on the site in July this year. Daltrey bought the car in 1973, a milestone year for The Who, with the release of their album Quadrophenia, which later became a cult British film starring Phil Daniels, Ray Winstone, Leslie Ash and Sting.
