15 May 2007 A BMW M5 super saloon once owned by acclaimed filmmaker and husband of Madonna Guy Ritchie is for sale on Auto Trader. Ritchie – who married the Queen of Pop Madonna in 2000 – was the first owner of the 2001 M5, before selling it on to another member of the UK film industry in August 2003. Powered by a 5-litre V8 producing 400bhp, the M5 rockets from 0-62mph (100kph) in 4.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. Take the limiters off and the five-door M5 enters Porsche 911 and Ferrari F430 supercar territory with a top speed of 186mph. Inside, the German boasts sat-nav, TV, climate control, heated seats and a six-CD sound system. Other features on the Beemer include ABS, traction control, rear parking sensors and a six-speed manual gearbox. Having covered just 36,000 miles, the black motor also boasts a full BMW service history. Guy Ritchie shot to fame in 1999 with the crime caper Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, making a star out of former footballer Vinnie Jones. His follow-up Snatch boasted stars including Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro. And the Director’s films have been noted for their collections of retro cars, including a series of classis Fords and Rovers. Now you can get your hands in a car – which the Material Girl may have driven – for £21,000.
