Boxing champ Joe Calzaghe's BMW M3 for sale

The Welsh star is the only owner of this 2002 M3 coupe, which is powered by BMW’s legendary 3.2-litre engine.

Producing 343bhp and 287 lb/ft of pulling power, the M3 accelerates from 0-60mph in a lightning-quick 4.8 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

The laguna-blue coupe – which is in insurance group 20 – uses a six-speed manual gearbox and has a leather interior, multi-change CD player and brand new alloy wheels.

But the car doesn’t come with the champion’s number plate BOX3R. Last year Calzaghe turned down a £100,000 offer from former boxing champ Chris Eubank for the plate.

Calzaghe is one of the stars of world boxing having won all 42 of his bouts including 31 by knockout with Ring Magazine regarding him as the eighth best pound-for-pound boxer.

The super middleweight’s next fight is in April when he faces Peter Manfredo - the star of ITV’s The Contender, at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
