Fastest TT on the way
28 February 2005 The TT Coupe Quattro Sport is 49kg lighter than the standard car and uses an uprated 1.8-litre engine, which, at 240bhp, delivers an extra 15bhp. This makes the car even faster than a £28,345 250bhp 3.2-litre V6 TT, hitting 62mph half a second sooner in 5.9sec. Top speed is limited to 155mph. Fuel consumption sticks at 30.1mph on the combined cycle, while the car resides in the 32% company car tax band. The suspension has been tuned to enhance handling, while wider wheels and an improved braking system are also fitted. The Coupe Quattro Sport gets the larger black rear spoiler of the 3.2-litre model as well as unique two-tone paintwork with a black roof. Rear seats have been taken out as part of the car's drastic weight-loss plan. The parcel shelf and spare wheel are also removed, while slimline, leather-clad Recaro bucket seats are fitted.
