Audi releases A6 Final Editions
15 October 2004 The diesel-powered Final Edition wagons cost £23,590 with the 128bhp 1.9-litre engine, £27,680 with the 161bhp 2.5-litre and £30,250 with the 178bhp 2.5-litre. The cars cost up to £950 less than the SE models they are based on and come with extra equipment as standard. All have a DVD-based satellite-navigation system, a stereo with an MP3 digital music player and a six-CD boot-mounted multichanger. This is in addition to the usual leather upholstery, climate control, alloy wheels and cruise control. Production of the cars will continue to the end of this year. What Car?'s editor, David Motton, said: While the Final Editions are cheaper and better equipped, buyers should still haggle for a further discount on the cars. This is always the case with a special edition, but is particularly true when a new model is about to arrive and put a dent in the values of previous-generation cars. Aim to get at least a further 7% off the asking price of the Final Edition cars.' |
