Fresh face for Audi A3
28 April 2005 The optional sports suspension has been tuned for added comfort, while stability-control programmes now include a feature to help drivers correct slides. If grip is lost and you steer the wrong way to regain control, steering-wheel resistance is increased to encourage you to move the wheel in the correct direction. The system is likely to spread to other Audis, but the company has not said when this might happen. New alloy wheel design and paint finishes will also be added to the range. The A3's large single-piece grille is also on the A4, A6 and A8. It will eventually spread to every model including the A4 Cabriolet and next year's Q7 off-roader and second-generation TT. Expect prices for the updated three-door A3 to rise slightly from their current spread of £15,510 to £24,825. |
