Audi has lifted the lid on this sensational TT roadster concept car – and given it a tyre-shredding 300bhp engine. But unlike most wacky concept cars, this topless monster could actually go into production. The roofless Audi TT Clubsport Quattro evokes memories of cars like the classic Porsche 356 Speedster, but brings the look bang up to date with a series of radical design ideas. Engineers at the German car maker have stripped the Clubsport of its windscreen pillars, leaving just the glass and a pair of headrests and the humps behind to stick out above the bodywork. The TT's front end is dominated by a huge grille, with LED headlights, while the sides have been stripped of indicators and handles for a smooth look, which is only broken by a set of 20-inch alloy wheels. Under the bonnet, Audi has installed heavily modified version of the S3's 2-litre turbocharged engine, which develops more than 300bhp. This is mated to a VW and Audi's twin clutch 'S-Tronic' semi-automatic gearbox. Audi is considering building a limited number of TT Clubsport Quattros. The TT Clubsport Quattro has been built to be a 'TT in its most purest form', according to Audi, and is on display at the huge Volkswagen and Audi Worthersee Tour in
