Aston premieres two new special editions - Aston V8 Vantage N400

Aston Martin has unveiled two sensational-looking special editions ready for the Frankfurt Motor Show next week.

The V8 Vantage N400 will feature an upgraded version of the 4.3-litre V8 that sits in a standard Vantage, increasing power from 380bhp to 400bhp.

And as a result, the storming baby Aston has broken the eight-minute benchmark around Germany’s legendary 14-mile Nurburgring Nordschleife racetrack.

A unique ‘Sports Pack’ will include uprated suspension components and a lightweight graphite-finished aluminium wheel. The coupe will also be fitted with a rear anti-roll bar to aid handling.

On the outside, the baby Aston will feature a Magnum Silver bonnet, clear rear lamp lenses and a revised side-sill design.

A range of normally optional equipment will kit out the N400's interior, including Sat nav and a 700-watt Aston Martin audio system.

And to celebrate winning the GT1 class victory at the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race in June, the Gaydon-based manufacturer has added a new trim level to the DB9.

Finished in Sarthe Silver paint, the DB9 LM will come with a standard Touchtronic auto box and Sports Pack, while inside, the usual Aston hallmarks of handcrafted black leather and numbered sill plaque will greet the driver.
