Prices for the Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 have been announced with the hot hatch costing from £11,550.

Powered by a 1.6-litre engine, the Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 has 133bhp and 118lb/ft of pulling power.

Performance figures haven’t been confirmed but the three-door Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 should accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in about 9.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 115mph.

This puts the Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 in direct competition with the Suzuki Swift Sport.

Standard features include 16-inch alloys, widened wheel arches and bodykit, fog lights, electronic stability programme and a host of Renaultsport trim features for the interior.

The Twingo hot hatch can also be purchased with the optional £650 ‘Cup’ chassis pack.

This means lowering the ride height by 4mm, stiffening the suspension for optimised handling and fitting 17-inch alloys for added sportiness.

And the 133 number trend continues with the first 133 orders of the Twingo hot hatch getting a free track day with driver training at either Brands Hatch (Kent), Oulton Park (Cheshire), Cadwell Park (Lincolnshire) or the Bedford Aerodrome (Bedfordshire).

The standard Renault Twingo made its UK debut in September last year after being available on the continent for more than ten years and it has received warm acclaim from buyers looking for a chic city car with punchy performance.

The Renault Twingo Renaultsport 133 goes on sale in September with the full performance specifications announced at a closer date.
