England star David Beckham gets booked again
10 April 2008 England footballer David Beckham has been given a parking ticket after being pulled over off Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. Former Manchester United midfielder David Beckham was driving a Cadillac Escalade when a motorcycle-riding sheriff's deputy stopped him. David Beckham’s spokesman said. "There was a traffic incident that took place. "It was a minor offence and David complied with the officer." Beckham – who now plies his trade with Los Angeles Galaxy – was also given the option of getting one point on his license or attending traffic school. But the £80 penalty isn’t likely to cause the sportsman any financial hassle after it emerged the LA star regained his position as the world’s highest-earning footballer. Beckham has earned almost £25 million over the past 12 months thanks to his move from Real Madrid to Los Angeles Galaxy and a host of lucrative sponsorship deals.
