Kylie Minogue splashes £20k on Audi A8 extras
10 March 2008 Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has reportedly shelled out £20,000 on extras for her luxury Audi A8 W12. Kylie Minogue has had special mirrors fitted to the Audi A8 along with a top-end sound system with TV screens in the front seat headrests, according to the Sunday Mirror. Other features Kylie may have opted for on the £100,000 saloon include 20-inch alloys which cost £1,500 while massaging and ventilating front and rear seats would set the songstress back £3,700. But £20,000 isn’t much for the pint-sized pop sensation. Kylie Minogue – who shot to fame as Charlene in Aussie cult soap Neighbours – is one of the world’s most successful female solo artists. Thanks to hits like ‘Locomotion’, ‘Spinning Around’ and ‘Can’t get you out of my head’ Kylie has shifted more than 40 million records. Super-rich musicians are famous for splashing their cash on sexy cars – many of which appear for sale on Auto Trader. Over the past 12 months, we’ve featured a BMW 745i previously owned by the Queen of Pop, Madonna. We’ve also had a host of cars including a Ferrari 456 and Ferrari 360 which used to belong to famed petrolhead Jay Kay, from funk outfit Jamiroquai.
Auto Trader has a £90,000 BMW 7 Series which was previously owned by solo artist George Michael for sale – for just £6,495. In standard guise, Kylie’s Audi A8 W12 (similar to the one pictured) is a hell of a car. Powered by a 6-litre W12 engine chucking out 450bhp and 428lb/ft of pulling power, the Audi A8 W12 accelerates from 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds before running on to a limited top speed of 155mph. |
