A Mercedes S500 previously owned by LA Galaxy footballer David Beckham is for sale on Auto Trader.

Former England captain David Beckham was the first owner of this 2001 Mercedes S500 which is powered by a 5-litre V8 engine.

Boasting 302bhp and 339lb/ft of pulling power, the luxury saloon accelerates from 0-62mph (100kph) in 6.5 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

Beckham also had 18-inch AMG alloys wheels fitted to the S-Class at a cost of more than £2,000.

Inside, Beckham’s Mercedes is adorned with heated leather seats, sat-nav, TV and DVD player and all-round electrics.

The S500 also features six airbags, anti-lock brake, traction control and electronic stability programme with helps control the car if it skids.

However, the Mercedes does not come with the private plate DVB ‘David Victoria Beckham’ as seen in the pictures.

David Beckham was a member of the England team who lost to Croatia recently.

Despite coming on as a substitute and setting up Peter Crouch’s equaliser his efforts were in vain with the Croats scoring a late winner and ending the Three Lions’ chance of competing in Euro 2008.

But while he’s touring New Zealand and Australia with club team LA Galaxy, it’s wife Victoria who is in the headlines as the Spice Girls begin their world tour.

It’s not the first time Auto Trader has had a motor previously owned by car-loving Beckham.
