600bhp BMW Z8 by 2010
10 September 2007 The Z8 is expected to have a range of high-powered engines, including a 300bhp 3.0-litre V6, 400bhp 4.4-litre V8, 500bhp 5.0-litre V10 and 600bhp 6.3-litre V12. It will weigh about 1500kg, which is about 250kg less than the rival Mercedes SL. Features will include active steering and suspension systems to improve handling, as well as stability control, a folding metal roof and retractable wind deflector. An M-tuned version of the car is possible, too, using either the V10 or V12 engine. Prices are expected to begin at £55,000. |
