09 August 2007 An ultra-special Mini Cooper owned by one of World football’s greatest talents is for sale on Auto Trader. Wayne Rooney was the first owner of this rare special edition 2006 Mini GP, which boasts serious performance. The hardcore version of the hot Cooper S is fitted with a supercharged 1.6-litre engine, the Mini produces 218bhp and 185lb/ft of pulling power. It’s made special by BMW removing the rear seats to make it lighter and fitting unique alloy wheels. The lightning-quick hot hatch can reach 62mph (100kph) in less than 6.5 seconds, before running on to a top speed of 150mph. And BMW has given the Mini a racier feel by removing the rear seats and fitting a limited slip differential, which allows power to be distributed to the wheel with most grip improving handling and traction. On the outside, the Cooper has 18-inch alloys, an ‘Aero’ bodykit and privacy glass.
