Mini has finally revealed official details of its Clubman model and Auto Trader has the first pics.

The five-door wagon is available with a choice of three engines; 1.6-petrol, a hot 1.6-litre turbo and a 1.6-litre diesel which manages a claimed 68.9mpg.

The 1.6-litre turbocharged rocket produces 175bhp and 177lb/ft of pulling power, meaning 0-60mph in 7.6 seconds and a top speed of around 140mph.

But the only way to get into the back of the car is via a single ‘suicide-style’ door on passenger’s side, reducing practicality.

The estate-car look means rear legroom is increased by 80mm and boot capacity is boosted by 100 litres to 260 litres.

With the rear seats folded this increases to a van-like 930 litres.

Like with the standard Mini, the Clubman is filled with a funky interior, and in addition boasts twin-opening rear doors for the boot.

The Clubman was initially unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and is reminiscent of the original Mini Traveller from the Sixties.

Available from November, prices for the Mini Clubman start from £14,235.
