Dennis Bergkamp’s Cadillac Escalade for sale
12 March 2007
Football fans – you could get your hands on one of the game’s best ever player’s Cadillac. Legendary Arsenal attacker Dennis Bergkamp was the first owner of this 2004 Cadillac Escalade. And he spent spent thousands of pounds modifying it. Featuring a massive 6-litre V8, the Escalade produces 345bhp and 380 lb/ft of pulling power. Based on a similar platform to David Beckham’s GMC Yukon Denali – which Auto Trader featured last week – the Escalade accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.3 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 130mph. Bergkamp – nicknamed the Iceman – spent more than £16,500 customising the 2.6-ton SUV, kitting it out with five 9-inch LCDs, an Alpine entertainment system and a reversing camera. He also had the inside re-chromed and fitted 23-inch wheels and quad exhaust pipes.
He retired from football at the end of last summer in an esteemed career where he also scored 37 goals for Holland - including the goal of the tournament at the 1998 World Cup. Famous for his fear of flying, Bergkamp would often drive long distances to away games, meaning a comfortable drive was high at the top of his priorities. Now you can pick up Bergkamp’s old SUV, which has covered 30,000 miles for £28,000.
