Skoda Octavia
Save: Up to £3,255

Skoda has scrapped VAT entirely on all its Octavia models, with savings of up to £3,255 new. This includes £1,626 off the 1.4-litre Classic model and £3,057 off the 2-litre TDi vRS saloon.

The offer applies to any Skoda Octavia registered and delivered by January 31, 2009.

Saab’s VAT-free cars
Save: Up to £4,221

Saab has just announced a full 15 per cent VAT reduction across its entire range.

The most you’ll save is £4,221 on a new Saab 93 Aero 1.9TTiD convertible. Other offers include £2,518 off the 2.0-litre Saab 95 turbo saloon, for £17,056, and the Saab 93 Sportwagon Airflow 1.9 TID for £17,949 – with savings of £2,666.

The offer ends December 31.

Chevrolet’s Boxing Day sale
Save: £2,400-plus

Chevrolet has announced a sale across their Matiz, Aveo and Lacetti model ranges this Christmas.

Buyers can save £2,400 on a new Lacetti 1.6 SX Station Wagon, available from £9,295, and £1,340 off the three-door Aveo 1.2 S, at £6,195 with 0 per cent finance.

The Matiz 1.0 SE is also a bargain city car at £5,464, with savings of £1,400 for a limited time – usual sale price is £5,995. The sale ends on January 18, 2009.

Ford ‘40 per cent off’ discounts
Save: Up to £7,420

Broadspeed is offering ex-stock Ford cars with reductions of up to 40 per cent. This includes 58-plate models such as the Ka, Mondeo, Fiesta and Focus, with less than ten miles on the clock.

Toyota’s ‘Blue Moon’ sale
Save: £3,815-plus

Toyota is offering thousands of pounds off its Verso, Yaris, Auris and Avensis models until January 31, 2009.

• £2,175 off the Verso 2.2-litre diesel – now £14,595
• £1,590 off the Yaris 1-litre five-door – now £7,795
• £1,545 off the Auris TR three-door – now £12,445
• £3,815 off the Avensis TR 1.8-litre – now £13,545

There’s also 0 per cent finance on the Auris and Verso models.

Seat Christmas offers
Save: £1,500-plus

There’s a range of discounts from Seat this Christmas, including 0 per cent finance on Seat Leons and Seat Ibizas.

The Seat Alhambra people carrier is now £14,649 – with a saving of £1,500, and £400 has been slashed off the price of a new Seat Leon FR 550, lowering the list price to £17,617.

Seat is also giving away free reflective vests and warning triangle with accessory packs.
