It might be dull, cold and windy outside, but we can still dream of long summer evenings with the roof down. May Starey and Stuart Milne bring you some of the world’s sexiest spiders
A topless supercar, sunshine and a pair of cool sunglasses. It’s one of the most evocative motoring images we can think of, and it’s all made possible by the invention of the spider.
For the uninitiated, spiders – or spyders – represent some of the most stunning cars even built; beautiful roadsters without roofs.
And we’ve rounded up the most wonderful from the Alfa Spider, to the, erm, Audi R8 Spider. Lamborghini, Ferrari – even Renault and Peugeot – have had a go, so click the image to be taken to spider heaven.
