Coyote in a Honda Jazz
03 November 2009
Forget Wile E Coyote’s hapless attempts at catching Road Runner – in the bad judgement stakes, this coyote takes some beating. Ian Bartholomew and Stuart Milne bring you the story of Tricky.
Like the cartoon coyote, this seems like one indestructible animal after it survived a 75mph head-on horror crash. When Daniel and Tevyn East saw it run in front of their Honda Jazz they thought it was curtains for the coyote.

But when they ended their 600 mile epic journey in Nevada, Mr East popped the bonnet and said: “Immediately I saw a ton of fur and said, ‘Sis, don't look, this is bad’”.
On closer inspection, the coyote – which they named Tricky – had got wedged between the Honda’s bumper and radiator.
