Clamped supercars
26 October 2009
Vijay Pattni rounds up a petrolhead’s worst nightmare – a clamped supercar.
Picture the scenario – you’ve just funded your last hedge-trimmer, liquefied your assets, sold off your portfolio of internet businesses selling condensed dog food, cashed in your bonuses after vaporising another big bank and auctioned off the family silverware.
Put simply, you’ve got a lot of cash burning a hole in your pocket and you want a supercar.

But chances are, one day, you’re going to take your million-pound metal-skinned diva and realise that because it’s wide/expensive/unwieldy/you-want-to-show-off, you’ll park it in full view of the baying public, who love nothing more than copping an eyeful up close of something which only gets out of bed for a huge sum of money.
Then someone with a clamp will come along and make you look like a complete…
Anyway, as much as we love supercars, we hate clamped supercars – so to remind you where not to park, we’ve rounded up an eye-watering gallery of exotic machinery outgunned by a pensioner in a Prius.
