Welcome to Adrian Hearn’s Car Videos of the Week.

We’ve been trawling the web for some great motoring clips, from the funny to the plain unbelievable.

This is what we found…

Ferrari F40 vs Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano

The Ferrari F40 and Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano are considered by many to be two of the greatest cars of all-time.

But what would it be like if these Italian titans came up against each other on, say, the winding roads of the of the Nevada desert?

In one corner you’ve got the supercar that typifies the Eighties – the iconic, F1-car-for-the-road Ferrari F40.

Launched in 1986, the Ferrari F40 is powered by a turbocharged 2,963CC V8 engine producing a mountainous 478bhp and accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds. Its 201mph top speed meant the F40 was the first road car to smash the ‘double ton’ barrier.

In the other corner you’ve got the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano – seen as the world’s greatest grand tourer.

With a six-litre V12 producing 611bhp and 448lb/ft of pulling power, the Ferrari 599 will hit 62mph in 3.5 seconds and not stop accelerating until it reaches 205mph.

It’s got a £179,000 price tag, but used ones on Auto Trader are appearing at a £50,000 premium – that’s how good this car is.

While the Ferrari F40 is super-light (it doesn’t have carpet and features plastic windows) and doesn’t have traction control, the 599 is fully kitted out with luxuries and driver aids.

Watch what happens when these two fiendishly fast Maranello machines go head-to-head.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia promo

While the Ferrari 599 is the company’s super tourer and the 612 is the grand tourer of the Prancing Horse range, the Ferrari F430 is the sportiest of the Maranello supercars.

Last year details of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia were announced.

Officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher, the Scuderia was more lightweight and more powerful – making it seriously hardcore.

The result is 530bhp, 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed touching 200mph.

The Ferrari F430 Scuderia are in so much demand, they are appearing on Auto Trader with a long delay for delivery and at a £40,000 premium over the £172,000 book price.

This is why.

Ferrari F1 cars through the years

Shell has provided Ferrari’s F1 teams with fuel since the Fifties and to celebrate the relationship they made this stunning video.

The videos showcases F1 cars from the Fifties (when F1 started) Sixties, Seventies, Nineties and Noughties.

But why are the Eighties missing? During this decade Agip provided Ferrari with its fuel, so Shell sensibly decided to omit it from the promo video.

Ferris Bueller wrecks his dad’s Ferrari 250 from Look at the Wheels on That

Cult Eighties comedy Ferris Bueller’s Day Off sees a young Matthew Broderick wreck his dad’s lovingly maintained Ferrari 250 Spider.

But unlike the 250 which Chris Evans just bought, studio bosses opted to use a replica.
